| An adult male subject was the victim of a homicide in the city of Camarillo On 04/01/26, at approximately 09:45 p.m., units from the Camarillo Police Department responded to a call of a shooting that had just occurred in the 2200 block Ventura Boulevard in Camarillo. Upon arriving on scene, patrol deputies located an adult male subject suffering from gunshot wounds. The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the scene and rendered medical aid to the subject. The subject was transported to a hospital for advanced medical care but ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Sheriff’s personnel identified a suspect in the investigation, and he was later taken into custody without incident. Sheriff’s Major Crimes are actively investigating this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call (805) 654-9511. At this time, this appears to be an isolated incident, with no on-going threat to the public. The identities of the parties involved are not being released at this time, pending notification of family members. |
