SUSPECT(S): Michael Christopher Gallardo, 18, Resident of Fontana
VICTIM(S): Elias Victor Marcell Brooks, 22-year-old, Resident of Victorville

Suspect identified and arrested in the murder of Elias Brooks.
On Saturday, April 3, 2026, Michael Christopher Gallardo turned himself in at the Upland Police Department. Gallardo was arrested for murder and booked into the West Valley Detention Center, where he remains in custody without bail.

SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at approximately 3:33 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Station responded to reports of gunfire in the 13000 block of Starshine Drive.
When deputies arrived, they located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment. No additional injuries or victims were reported.
