The Amarillo Police Department is providing an update regarding the April 3, 2026, motor vehicle versus motorcycle collision in the 5400 block of South Bell Street.
Debbie Michelle Guzman (50), who was a passenger on the motorcycle, has died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
This incident remains under investigation by the Amarillo Police Department Traffic Investigation Squad.

INCIDENT TYPE: Motor Vehicle vs. Motorcycle Collision
LOCATION: 5400 block S Bell St
On April 3, 2026, at approximately 6:04 p.m., Amarillo Police Department officers responded to a motor vehicle versus motorcycle collision at 54th Avenue and South Bell Street.
A northbound motorcycle collided with a pickup turning east onto 54th Avenue.
The motorcycle operator, Steven Tobias Guzman (57), died at the scene. Next of kin has been notified.
A passenger on the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries. The pickup driver and passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The Amarillo Police Department Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating.
