Deputies Arrest Suspect After Juvenile Knocked Unconscious, Robbed

DATE/TIME: April 5, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 215 - Carjacking
                  PC 211- Robbery 
         

LOCATION: Sapphire Street / Garden Court, Rancho Cucamonga

SUSPECT(S): Nicholas Sawyer, 31-years-old, Transient of Rancho Cucamonga.

VICTIM(S): 15-year-old, Male Juvenile 


SUMMARY: On April 5, 2026, at about 12:00 p.m., the 15-year-old victim rode his electric motorcycle on a trail near Sapphire Street and Garden Court. The suspect, Nicholas Sawyer, pushed the victim off his motorcycle, as he passed. The victim was knocked unconscious. As he regained consciousness, his motorcycle, iPhone, and keys were gone.

Deputies tracked the victim's iPhone and apprehended Sawyer near Carnelian Street and Baseline Road. Sawyer was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
