West Windsor Police Department Announces 2026 Youth Police Academy
The West Windsor Township Police Department is pleased to announce the 2026 Youth Police Academy. This one week program provides West Windsor youth with an opportunity to learn about the job functions of police officers and interact closely with members of the department.
Participants will experience:
• Physical Training
• Search and Arrest Techniques
• Crime Scene Processing
• K9 Demonstrations
• Drone Demonstrations
• Patrol Operations Demonstrations
• Graduation Ceremony with Oath and Certificates

Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10, 2026
0900 hrs to 1300 hrs daily

Eligibility
Open to West Windsor Township children entering 5th and 6th grades
Class Size
Limited to 30 participants
Preference given to first time participants
Registration Fee
$25.00 per child

Registration Closes
Friday, May 1, 2026 at 3:00 pm or when full
Application packets will be available at the police dispatch window beginning April 27, 2026 at 7:00 am.
Completed applications with payment must be returned to the dispatch window by May 1, 2026 at 3:00 pm. Only in person submissions will be accepted.
Due to the popularity of this program, arriving early is strongly recommended. The first 30 eligible applicants will be accepted and additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist.
