MERIDIAN, ID –
On April 6, 2026, at around 4:00pm Meridian Police officers and emergency services personnel from the Meridian Fire Department and the Ada County Paramedics were dispatched to a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck at Locust Grove and Ustick. Tragically, the motorcycle rider was deceased. Thus far the investigation reveals the motorcycle, which was Yamaha sports bike, was driving northbound on Locust Grove. The truck was a stake bed commercial type truck that was turning left onto Ustick from southbound Locust Grove. The motorcycle and the truck collided in the middle of the intersection. The motorcyclist was an adult male and was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. His identity will be released later by the Ada County Coroner’s Office. The investigation, which will later indicate the exact cause of this crash, is being handled by the Meridian Police Department and the Idaho State Police.
