Morgan Hill Police Investigate Fatal Traffic Collision
Morgan Hill, California – On April 5, 2026, at approximately 8:03 p.m., Morgan Hill Police Officers responded to the 14000 block of Monterey Road following reports of a two-vehicle collision involving an electric scooter and a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers located the rider of the electric scooter suffering from significant injuries. Officers, along with emergency medical personnel, immediately began life-saving measures. Despite those efforts, the rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It is not known at this time if alcohol and/or drug impairment was a factor in the collision; the case remains under investigation by the Morgan Hill Police Department.
The Morgan Hill Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the decedent during this difficult time.
