West Main/King Hwy paving scheduled for night work beginning Tuesday 4/7/2026.
The West Main Street/Kings Highway paving is scheduled to take place this week from Tuesday, April 7 to Friday, April 10. Earle's crews will perform all milling and paving at night with work taking place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday 4/7: Milling from South Church Street to Pleasant Valley Avenue
- Wednesday 4/8: Milling from Pleasant Valley Avenue to South Lenola Road
- Thursday 4/9: Paving from South Church Street to Pleasant Valley Avenue
- Friday 4/10: Paving from Pleasant Valley Avenue to South Lenola Road
Striping will be completed the week of 4/13. Temporary pavement markers will be installed after paving. This will be a full width road closure. Residents and emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
For residents nearby, we recommend holding off for the next couple of weeks on scheduling contractors that use large trucks or need to leave equipment or debris by the road, since space will be pretty tight during the work. Residents located on streets adjacent or connected to the roads being worked on should ensure there is enough room in the street to ensure two-way traffic can pass unobstructed.
Instructions:
Please avoid the area.
