Narrative:

During the month of March 2026, a package theft occurred in front of a residence, along the 11000 block of Crenshaw Street in the City of Moorpark. Deputies assigned to the Moorpark Police Department patrol services responded and conducted the initial investigation, which included obtaining video of the suspect committing the theft from the victim’s doorbell camera. Additional surveillance footage of a vehicle entering the community was obtained from the community’s security cameras and the suspect’s vehicle license plate was obtained.

The case was assigned to detectives with the Moorpark Investigation Unit. With the information collected by deputies on patrol, coupled with utilizing law enforcement databases, detectives were able to identify Rebecca Fendrick of Fillmore as the individual responsible for the theft.

On 04/03/2026, deputies and detectives from Moorpark located Fendrick in the City of Fillmore. Fendrick was arrested for the crime committed in the City of Moorpark and transported to the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility. Fendrick was booked for PC 484(a) - Petty Theft.

The Moorpark Police Department would like to encourage residents to install video surveillance cameras in and around their property to aid in the identification of suspects when incidents such as these occur. With the collaboration and trust from the public, crimes continue to be solved, allowing the judicial system to hold those responsible accountable for their crimes. Citizens are also reminded to bring packages inside as soon as possible to further limit the opportunity of theft.
