Wilmington Police arrest male juvenile in connection to a March 25th shots fired incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a male juvenile in connection to a March 25th shots fired incident following an investigation.
Members of the Gun Intelligence Unit have been conducting a firearm investigation in reference to a shots fired incident that occurred on March 25th in the 1600 block of West 6th Street. Detectives identified a 17-year-old male juvenile as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.
On April 9th at approximately 7:00 a.m., officers executed a search warrant in the 1600 block of West 6th Street and took the 17-year-old male juvenile into custody without incident. Officers recovered a loaded .9mm handgun, ammunition, 1.32 grams of Heroin and drug paraphernalia.
The 17-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses:
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree)
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited- Four Counts
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony- Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance- Tier 1
