Main Street between Hutton St. and Center St. will be closed beginning Monday April 13, 2026 for maintenance/construction.  The project is expected to be completed in early June 2026.

General contractor, Highland Services, will begin staging the project footprint with barricades for pedestrian safety.
 
What to expect during construction:

• Project impacts Main Street between Center Street and Hutton Street with intermittent closure of Town Square.
• Sidewalks will remain open with access to all businesses.
• Street replacement will occur within existing curbs.
• The clock tower island will be reconstructed as a speed table with safety improvements for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic.
• Additional improvements include lighting, new plantings, and fountain reconstruction.
• Anticipated completion is early June.
• Construction work unavoidably generates dust, noise, and other inconveniences. Guidelines are in place to minimize impact on residences and businesses and OHM inspectors will monitor the project daily.
• Stay tuned for all regularly scheduled summer programming to begin promptly after construction concludes.
