SUMMARY: On April 6, 2026, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Chino Hills Station, responded to the 15400 block of Pomona Rincon Road regarding multiple vehicle burglaries.

During the investigation, deputies learned two suspects shattered vehicle windows and stole property from parked cars. Surveillance footage and witness statements identified a black Chevrolet Camaro as the suspect vehicle involved in the crimes.Through investigative follow-up, deputies linked the vehicle to a residence in Corona.

On April 8, 2026, deputies assigned to the Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) conducted surveillance at the residence. During the operation, deputies observed the suspect vehicle leaving the location and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Ryan Robert Lynn Filkins, was
detained without incident.

Shortly thereafter, a second vehicle associated with the residence drove away from the residence, leading to a pursuit. The driver, Robert Ryan Lynn Filkins, failed to yield to emergency lights and siren, drove recklessly through residential streets, and fled on foot after abandoning the vehicle. Deputies located and arrested him a short time later with the assistance of additional units.

Deputies served a search warrant at the residence and associated vehicles. Investigators recovered suspected narcotics, U.S. currency, burglary tools, communication devices, and weapons, including a loaded stolen firearm.

Both suspects were booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
