Wilmington Police arrest wanted man following a trespassing investigation:
Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted man following a trespassing investigation.
On April 9th at approximately 8:01 a.m., members of the Special Operations Division responded to the 300 block of South Madison Street in reference to a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with a male subject, at which time he fled the area on foot. A short time later the subject was taken into custody without further incident and identified as 23-year-old Lenny Appleton. Officers recovered multiple stolen credit cards, an airsoft handgun, and counterfeit U.S. currency. Officers confirmed Appleton was currently wanted for an outstanding warrant out of the New Castle County Police Department.
Appleton has been charged with the following offenses in addition to his outstanding warrant:
- Theft Under $1,500
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
- Receiving Stolen Property Under $1,500- Two Counts
- Resisting Arrest
