Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a shots fired incident following an investigation.
On April 9th at approximately 2:39 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 2300 block of North Jefferson Street in reference to a shots fired incident with no injuries. While on scene officers made contact with 20-year-old Christian Broaddus, who matched the description of the suspect and had returned to the area while police were investigating. Officers confirmed Broaddus was the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident.
Broaddus has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree)- Two Counts
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000- Two Counts
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution $82,200 cash-only bail.
