The Amarillo Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a shooting that occurred on March 14, 2026. At 11:13 p.m., officers responded to the area of 6700 Blissful Ln. in reference to shots fired. Occupants of a vehicle encountered several individuals believed to be attempting vehicle burglaries near NE 20th Ave and Iris St. When the victims confronted one of the individuals and stated they were contacting police, an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds at their vehicle from the west side of the location. The vehicle was struck several times. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Suspect descriptions are limited at this time. Witnesses reported seeing three individuals in the area:
• One white or Hispanic male wearing a white shirt and camouflage shorts
• Two additional white or Hispanic males, possibly in their teens or early 20s, wearing all black clothing
The suspects were last seen in the area of NE 20th Ave and Iris St. Investigators are asking anyone with information, surveillance footage, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to contact the Amarillo Police Department at 806-378-3038.
