On today's date at approx. 0730 am Saratoga Springs Police Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress on West Ave near Washington Street. Officers arrived to find one victim with a serious injury from the fight and immediately called for emergency medical attention. The victim was transported to Saratoga Hospital by Saratoga Springs Fire/EMS. A suspect was quickly located by Patrol Officers and is detained at this time.
West Ave has been closed from Church Street (state route 9N) to Washington Street (state route 29) for crime scene processing. We are asking motorists to find alternate routes around West Ave via Grand Ave or Church Street. If anyone witnessed the incident, please call 518-584-1800. There is no known threat to the public at this time.
