INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 3100 block of Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Yvonne Vasquez, 32-year-old resident of Chino Hills
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, April 4, 2026, deputies from the Chino Hills Station responded to a reported assault with a deadly weapon at a residence located at 3100 block Chino Hills Parkway where the suspect attempted to stab the victim with a knife.The victim contacted law enforcement, and the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was positively identified as Yvonne Vasquez.
During the investigation, deputies discovered Vasquez was in possession of a stolen white Jeep Grand Cherokee.
On Monday, April 13, 2026, the investigation led investigators back to the location where the assault took place. Deputies served a search warrant at the apartment where Vasquez lived with her boyfriend. During the execution of the warrant, additional crimes involving forgery, fraud, and theft were discovered inside the apartment, and the stolen white Grand Cherokee was recovered.
Yvonne Vasquez was arrested for Penal Code 245(a)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon, CVC 10851 - Vehicle Grand Theft, PC 470 - Forgery, and PC 475 - Fraud/Forged Checks.
