Narrative:
Ventura County Sheriff’s Technical Communications Specialist Allison Ramboldt has been selected as the 2026 Public Safety Dispatcher of the Year. This award is presented to an outstanding dispatcher for their exemplary work and contributions to public safety and the residents of Ventura County.

Allison was hirst hired in 2016 and has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to her role. She was selected as this year’s recipient by supervisory staff in recognition of her outstanding work ethic and commitment to excellence. Allison possesses a remarkable ability to efficiently gather critical information prior to a deputy’s arrival on scene. Her seamless and often unseen collaboration with deputies has played a significant role in the successful resolution of numerous investigations.

Sheriff dispatchers answer, assess, and refer 9-1-1 calls, and business calls that come into the Sheriff’s Office. They are responsible for dispatching and coordinating patrol response to calls for service and at times, responsible for up to 70 patrol deputies in the field.  Dispatchers are classified as first responders, in California, and are expected to remain calm, professional, and proficient at all times. Allison’s co-workers and supervisors can attest that she promotes all the above attributes while working her shift. She is a very reliable employee and it’s a pleasure having her in the Sheriff’s Communications Center.
Congratulations to Allison Ramboldt for being selected as the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office’s 2026 Dispatcher of the Year.
