2026 HPD Junior Police Academy applications now available
The Hoboken Police Department is now accepting applications for its 2026 Junior Police Academy, a free, week-long summer program that gives local youth an inside look at law enforcement while building leadership skills and advancing community connections.
The academy will run from Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Stevens Institute of Technology. The program is open to Hoboken residents aged 10 to 15 and is offered at no cost to families. 30 applicants will be selected at random.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, June 5, and can be dropped off at Hoboken Police Headquarters, 106 Hudson St., or emailed to [email protected] or [email protected].

Free community CPR/AED training sessions to be held April 22 and May 29
The City of Hoboken Division of Health, in partnership with Hoboken EMS and Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps (HVAC), is offering free community CPR/AED training sessions to residents and employees. Classes will be held on Wednesday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and on Friday, May 29 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Each session is approximately three hours and will take place at the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps Headquarters, located at 704 Clinton Street in Hoboken. Space is limited, and registration is required.

Community Garden plot confirmation meeting Monday, April 20
Residents who are registered for a plot at the Third and Jackson Community Garden are invited to stop by on Monday, April 20, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. to confirm their plot assignment. This is an opportunity to meet the coordinator, ask questions, and make sure you’re all set for the growing season.
