CENTRAL MARIN POLICE ARRESTS BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT

Larkspur & Corte Madera: The Central Marin Police Authority arrested a suspect in connection with two bank robberies committed within minutes of one another.

On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, around 9:48 a.m., the Central Marin Police received a report of a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank, 100 Bon Air Center, in Greenbrae.  While investigating that robbery, Central Marin Police received another report of a bank robbery, a few minutes later, at the Bank of America, 663 Tamalpais Drive, in Corte Madera.  Officers quickly learned that the suspect in both robberies was possibly the same individual based on the provided descriptions.  The witnesses also provided a vague description of the suspect’s vehicle as it fled.  During both of these bank robberies, the suspect furnished demand notes and led the victims to believe he was armed with a handgun.

The suspect’s vehicle was quickly identified through the use of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office FLOCK camera system.  The suspect’s vehicle information was broadcasted to all Marin County law enforcement agencies to be on the look-out.

A Ross Police Officer located the suspect’s vehicle on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Kentfield and additional law enforcement resources were requested.  Officers from the Central Marin Police Authority, the Ross Police Department, the Marin Community College District Police Department, and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office responded and safely took the suspect into custody without incident.

The Central Marin Police Authority would like to extend its appreciation to our law enforcement partners involved in this incident.
