* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 406 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Chetopa, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Baxter Springs, Columbus, Galena, Lowell, Treece, Neutral, Melrose, Riverton, Lawton, Sherwin, Faulkner, Crestline, Stippville, and Skidmore. This includes Interstate 44 near mile marker 0.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CHEROKEE, KS
