On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at approximately 7:16 p.m., Ashland Police Officers and Hanover County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 100 block of South Hill Carter Parkway in Ashland for a reported fight that involved a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Ashland Police Officers and Hanover Fire/EMS provided immediate medical attention to both victims; however, both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Subsequent to an investigation, Unique White of Bowling Green, Va. was arrested at the scene and has been charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Scheduled Drug. White was transported to the Pamunkey Regional Jail without incident and is being held without bond.
