Officers responded to Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, located at 4191 E. Cochran Street, regarding a report of vandalism. Upon arrival officers discovered that a sign on the property, displaying the message “Jesus accepts everyone”, had been defaced with derogatory language targeting the LGBTQ+ community.
The vandalism caused approximately $100 in damage. This incident is being investigated as vandalism with a hate crime allegation.
