Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a subject armed with a knife. Officers located the subject, armed with a knife, and negotiated with her until she dropped it. As officers attempted to detain her, she resisted, and force was used to take her into custody. The subject was transported to a facility for an evaluation.
2. Battery on an Officer / Elder Abuse (1850) 300 Block of East Swain Road, Lakeview District
Officers responded to a residence in the listed area on a report of elder abuse. Upon contacting the suspect, he punched an officer in the face. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. The officer sustained a non-life-threatening injury and remained on duty. ARRESTED: Edwardo Bustos, 37, for elder abuse, battery on an officer, and resisting arrest.
3. Battery on an officer / Warrants (0501) 900 Block of South Harrison Street, Seaport District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a disturbance. Officers contacted the suspect, who refused officers’ commands and attempted to run into a residence. As an officer attempted to detain the suspect, he resisted. The suspect grabbed an officer around his neck, and the officers used force to take him into custody. The officer was uninjured and remained on duty. ARRESTED: Luis Hernandez, 25, for battery on officers, resisting arrest, and outstanding warrants.
