Simi Valley Police Department Arrests Juvenile for Domestic Violence and Kidnapping
On April 17, 2026, at approximately 6:58 PM, Simi Valley Police officers responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Desert Creek Avenue following a 911 call regarding an unknown problem. The reporting party, a 15-year-old male, had contacted emergency services but was whispering, making it difficult for dispatchers to confirm the exact circumstances or location. Through the use of Rapid Deploy technology, officers were able to pinpoint the address and arrive on the scene.
Upon arrival, officers contacted the 15-year-old, who reported that his 17-year-old brother was inside the residence and had locked his 16-year-old girlfriend in a closet. The witness stated that an argument between the couple had escalated into a physical assault. The witness attempted to intervene, leading to a physical fight between the two brothers. After the witness stepped away to call for help, the suspect allegedly continued the assault on the female victim before forcing her into the closet.
Officers entered the residence, detained the 17-year-old suspect, and located the victim inside the closet. The victim had visible injuries to her face, neck, and arms. A records check during the investigation revealed that the suspect was currently on probation for a previous domestic violence incident involving the same victim and was the restrained party in an active protection order.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Facility on the following charges: 273.5 PC: Domestic Battery, 207 PC: Kidnapping, 236 PC: False Imprisonment, and 273.6 PC: Violation of a Court Order
