SUMMARY:
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, at approximately 10:47 P.M., Highland deputies responded the report of a shooting in the 27000 block of Greenspot Road. Deputies responded and located an adult male subject who had been shot. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Through investigation, deputies learned a disagreement occurred between two adult males who sat in their vehicles in a parking lot. One of the subjects involved in the disagreement, later identified as Ronald Carter III, fired rounds, and struck an occupant in the other vehicle and fled the area in a sedan.
On Monday, April 20, 2026, the Highland Detective Bureau contacted Carter at his residence. A search warrant was served at the residence where detectives recovered significant evidence linking him to the shooting. Carter was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for PC 664/187 (A)- Attempted Murder with bail set at $1,000,000.
