| Narrative: | |||||
| Two Northern California men were arrested in Thousand Oaks after committing multiple incidents of theft, by removing the wheels and tires from vehicles throughout the city and surrounding areas. On April 16th, 2026, Thousand Oaks patrol deputies responded to the 400 block of E. Wilbur Road in the City of Thousand Oaks, and the 5000 block of Foxwood Drive in Oak Park, regarding victims reporting the wheels had been stolen from their vehicles, and the vehicles were left sitting atop cinder blocks placed under the frame. One victim reported confronting two suspects in the act of removing the wheels from his vehicle, which caused the two suspects to flee in what the victim described as a gray sedan. On April 20th, 2026, at approximately 1:00am, detectives with the East County Special Enforcement Unit located the suspects in the area of Duesenberg Drive at Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks. Detectives saw the suspects were associated with two vehicles. A traffic enforcement stop was conducted with the assistance of patrol deputies, which revealed burglary tools as well as stolen wheels inside of the vehicles, which were later returned to the victim. The suspects were identified as Jorge Valles and Prince White. Valles and White were arrested and booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on charges of 487 PC - Grand Theft, 496PC - Receiving Stolen Property, 182PC - Criminal Conspiracy and 466PC - Possession of Burglary Tools. Both men remain in custody with a bail amount of $100,000 and are scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on April 22nd at 1:30pm. Ventura County Detectives also have evidence that Valles and White are responsible for similar thefts throughout Southern California and are collaborating with neighboring agencies.
