On April 22 at approximately 7:30 p.m., a Simi Valley Police Officer assigned to a distracted driving enforcement detail attempted to stop a motorcyclist for a traffic violation near Cochran Street and Sequoia Avenue. The driver failed to yield, and a short pursuit ensued.
The pursuit continued to the area of Tapo Street and Guardian Street, where the driver lost control and struck a curb. The driver was taken into custody without further incident.
The driver, identified as Brandon Harrison (38) of Simi Valley, was not injured, and no other vehicles were involved. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and felony evading a peace officer.
