| Narrative: | |||||
| On 04/10/2026, at about 9:00 AM, patrol deputies from the Fillmore Station contacted (S) Teresa Macias, a 46-year-old Mojave resident sleeping inside a parked vehicle on private property. A subsequent patrol investigation led to the discovery of identity theft related items, drugs, and stolen property worth thousands of dollars. Macias was arrested for drug offenses, identity theft offenses, and possession of stolen property. Fillmore patrol resources collaborated with station detectives and identified additional suspects who were suspected of stealing the property Macias had in her possession. One of those suspects was (S) Alejandro Silva, a 41-year-old Fillmore resident who was currently on Post Release Offender Supervision (PROS) for felony convictions for identity theft. On 04/12/2026, Fillmore deputies located Silva’s vehicle parked in a neighborhood near Silva’s residence and towed the vehicle as evidence at the direction of detectives pending a search warrant. On 04/14/2026, Fillmore patrol deputies contacted and arrested Silva for his involvement in the grand theft. Silva was arrested for Penal Code § 182 – [Conspiracy to Commit a Crime] and Penal Code § 487(a) – [Grand Theft]. On 04/17/2026, Fillmore detectives obtained a search warrant for Silva’s vehicle and an apartment identified as being associated with the grand theft. During a search of Silva’s vehicle, detectives located evidence linking Silva to the grand theft along with drug paraphernalia and evidence related to identity theft. Additionally, detectives from Fillmore and the Moorpark Special Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at an apartment located in the 200 block of Santa Clara Street in Fillmore. During the warrant service, detectives located (S) Ricardo Magana, a 42-year-old Fillmore resident who had an active felony warrant for his arrest and was on active PROS for possession for sales of a controlled substance. Magana was arrested for his warrant and later identified by detectives as another co-conspirator to the theft. A search of the apartment resulted in the seizure of additional theft related evidence along with identity theft evidence, additional stolen property, suspected drugs, illegal assault rifles, ammunition, and unlawfully possessed handguns. The apartment renter, (S) Nancy Mendez, was contacted at the apartment and arrested for multiple counts of Penal Code § 30605(a) – [Possession of an Assault Weapon], multiple counts of Penal Code § 27545 – [Unlawful Firearm Transfer], and misdemeanor drug offenses. Both Mendez and Magana were transported and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility pending court proceedings.
