Two Arrested After Needles Traffic Stop Reveals Suspected Drugs and Outstanding Warrants
DATE/TIME: Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at approximately 9:53 p.m.
INCIDENT: H&S 11395(B)(1) - Possession of a Controlled Substance with 2 or more Priors, PC 148.9(A) - Giving False ID to Police Officer, and two warrants for CVC 12500(A)-Driving Without a License and PC 602.5(A) - Trespassing
LOCATION: Needles Hwy and R Street, City of Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Jolie Rivera, 37-years-old, Resident of Hesperia
Felice Cholewiak, 49-years-old, Resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at approximately 9:53 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department conducted a traffic enforcement stop near Needles Hwy and R Street in the City of Needles.
During the stop, deputies observed signs and symptoms consistent with possible drug impairment and conducted further investigation. Two occupants of the vehicle identified as JOLIE RIVERA and FELICE CHOLEWIAK, were contacted.
RIVERA initially provided false identification information and her true identity was later confirmed, revealing she had two outstanding warrants for her arrest. During the investigation, deputies located a substance suspected to be fentanyl. Both RIVERA and CHOLEWIAK were transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.
JOLIE RIVERA was subsequently arrested for H&S 11359(B)(1)- Possession of a Controlled Substance with 2 or More Priors, PC 148.9(A)-Giving False ID to Police Officer and 2 warrants for CVC 12500(A)-Driving Without a License and PC 602.5(A)-Trespassing. RIVERA remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $45,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
FELICE CHOLEWIAK was subsequently arrested for H&S 11359(B)(1)-Possession of a Controlled Substance with 2 or More Priors. CHOLEWIAK remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing This investigation is on-going.
