Byram Twp. would like to inform you of an upcoming natural gas installation project being performed by Elizabethtown Gas in Byram Township. Contractors for Elizabethtown Gas will begin installing gas main on State Highway 206.
The project area will include Route 206 between Tamarack Road and Moove In Self Storage, as well as Birch Road, Maple Road, Willor Drive, Johnson Boulevard, and Pierson Drive.
The work is scheduled to proceed in three phases:
Phase 1: Beginning the night of April 27, overnight construction activities will commence on Route 206. This phase is anticipated to require approximately 15–20 working days to complete. (weather dependent)
Phase 2: Upon completion of the Route 206 work, crews will proceed to the local roadways listed above. Anticipated working hours for this phase will be between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, weather permitting.
Phase 3: Final restoration activities will take place following an appropriate settlement period. Restoration crews will return to complete final pavement restoration, lawn repairs, and sidewalk restoration as necessary.
Traffic control personnel will be present throughout the project limits to help maintain access for residents, school transportation, sanitation services, and mail delivery. While every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience, temporary minor delays may occur as crews provide safe passage through active work zones.
