Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges following a vehicle stop.
On April 22nd at approximately 10:41 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the area of 5th and North Market Streets in reference to a traffic violation. Officers made contact with the driver 21-year-old Darius Douge, who was taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered 311.5 grams of marijuana.
Douge has been charged with the following offenses in addition to a traffic citation:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Tier 1)
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released pending further proceedings.
