Santa Maria PD traffic stop leading to drug sales arrest 
On April 25, 2026, at approximately 5:04 p.m., a Santa Maria Police officer conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver was on probation. During a search of the vehicle, a female passenger was found to be in possession of multiple individually packaged baggies containing suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, and possible fentanyl.
The passenger was taken into custody at the scene. A subsequent follow-up at her residence led to the discovery of over half a pound of suspected methamphetamine, along with a significant amount of cash.
The suspect was arrested and booked at Santa Barbara County Jail on charges related to possession of controlled substances for sale and sales-related offenses.
