Flood Advisory until 10:30AM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, and west central Missouri, including the following counties, in central Missouri, Pettis and Saline. In north central Missouri, Carroll and Chariton. In west central Missouri, Clay, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette and Ray.

* WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 623 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Independence, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Excelsior Springs, Oak Grove, Richmond, Odessa, Higginsville, Lexington, Carrollton, Buckner, Lawson, Concordia, Sweet Springs, Waverly, Orrick, Wellington, Norborne, Hardin and Hale. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
