Oakland City man arrested for dealing.
On April 26, 2026, at 4:06 p.m. multiple law enforcement officers went to the Diplomat Motel located at 1733 South State Road 57 near Oakland City to serve a search warrant on one of the rooms. Upon arriving, law enforcement was able to remove two people from the room in question and provide them with a copy of the signed search warrant. Law enforcement officers then conducted a search of the motel room, and upon completion of the search 99.7 grams of Marijuana, .55 grams of Methamphetamines, and a large amount of money was taken from inside the room. Once the on-scene investigation was completed, 55-year-old Todd Sloan, a resident of the motel, was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Detention Center.

Dealing Marijuana
Possession of Methamphetamines
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Paraphernalia
Arresting Officer Wes Baumgart was assisted in his investigation by Deputies Eric Powell, Wyatt Hunt, Michael Bates, and Sgt. Loren Barchett. Oakland City Officer Kaden Tepe also assisted in this investigation.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
