We are excited to welcome the newest group of Police Officer Trainees to OPD's 197th Academy.
This class has 5 women and 35 men who are beginning their public service careers in Oakland. Many of these trainees have strong ties to the TOWN and are dedicated to the community they will serve.
We also welcome two trainees from the Piedmont and BART Police Departments.
This group marks another step in our ongoing commitment to public safety and to serving Oakland.
