* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northeastern Clinton County in south central Illinois... Southern Fayette County in south central Illinois... Marion County in south central Illinois... Northeastern Washington County in south central Illinois...

* Until 915 PM CDT.

* At 830 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from near Patoka to over Wamac, or along a line from 13 miles south of Vandalia to near Centralia, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Boulder, Shattuc, Wamac, Central City, Centralia, Junction City, Sandoval, Fairman, Patoka, Odin, Salem, Tonti, Kinmundy, Farina, Iuka, Omega, Stephen Forbes Station, Helm and La Clede. This includes Interstate 57 in Illinois between exits 109 and 135.

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing widespread damaging winds and large hail. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for a portion of south central Illinois.
