The Wrangell Volunteer Fire Department is actively responding to a structural fire at 8 Mile Zimovia Highway.
Public Works crews are assisting on scene. Zimovia Highway is currently closed starting at 6 Mile, and traffic is not permitted through the area at this time.
Drivers and pedestrians are asked to avoid the 8 Mile area to allow emergency responders to work safely.
At this time, it is unknown when the roadway will reopen. Updates will be provided as they become available.
