Southwest Town Center Parks To Close Starting May 4 for Construction
The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and Department of General Services (DGS) would like to inform the community that Southwest Town Center Parks (900 4th Street, SW) will be closed starting Monday, May 4, 2026.
The project site is located at the southwest and southeast corners of 4th Street SW and I Street SW and along Maple Dr. SW. The project includes:
- Site A: West side of 4th Street SW, adjacent to Westminster Presbyterian Church
- Site B: East side of 4th Street SW, adjacent to Christ United Methodist Church
Both parcels of the park will be closed from May 4 through the duration of construction, which is scheduled to be completed in Spring 2027. These closures are necessary to support planned improvements to the park.
