Deputies Locate and Arrest Juvenile for Absconding and Arrest Woman for Harboring a Fugitive



DATE/TIME: Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m.

INCIDENT: PC 32 - Accessory After the Fact - Harboring a Fugitive

LOCATION: 1000 Block of Lillyhill Drive, Needles, CA

SUSPECT 1: Crystal Bedell, 37 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA 
SUSPECT 2: Confidential Male Juvenile, 17 Years Old, Resident of Needles, CA

VICTIM(S): State of California


SUMMARY: On Wednesday, April 29, 2026,  at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department received information that a 17-year-old male juvenile, who had been reported absconding from his probation placement, was staying at a residence located in Needles, CA.  Deputies conducted an investigation and confirmed the juvenile was unlawfully absent from his probation placement.  

Deputies conducted surveillance at the residence, confirmed the juvenile was at the location and a search warrant for his arrest was subsequently obtained. A call-out was initiated at the residence, however after multiple unsuccessful attempts to gain compliance, deputies made forced entry into the residence.

The juvenile was located inside of the residence and taken into custody without further incident. He was transported and booked at the High Desert Juvenile Detention Center located in Apple Valley, CA.

During the investigation, deputies also arrested Crystal Bedell for violaiton of PC 32 - Accessory After the Fact - Harboring a Fugitive.  Bedell was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking with a bail amount of $15,000.00, awaiting a court hearing. This investigation remains ongoing.
