The City of Asbury Park will be beginning construction of upgrades to the intersection of Cookman Avenue and Bond Street on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Road work will take place Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. All materials and equipment will be cleared from the roadway and sidewalks by 4:30 pm each day. No construction will take place on weekends. All work is expected to be complete before Memorial Day Weekend.
Minimal sidewalk and lane closures may occur between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on weekdays during construction. No business or residential entrances will be blocked and no road closures will occur.
Improvements to the intersection include new pedestrian ramps, select bump-outs, and an updated traffic signal with pedestrian signaling.
