The Mt. Lake Police Department is advising residents of a reported gas leak in the vicinity of 13th St and Boxelder St as of 1044am on 5/1/2026.
Emergency crews, including fire and utility services, are currently on scene working to assess and contain the situation.
What You Should Do:

• Avoid the affected area to allow emergency responders to work safely.
• If you are nearby and smell gas (often described as a sulfur or “rotten egg” odor), leave the area immediately.
• Do not use electrical switches, open flames, or anything that could ignite gas.
• Follow all instructions from emergency personnel.

There are no confirmed reports of injuries at this time, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

For your safety and the safety of others, please do not attempt to enter restricted areas.
