Multi-Jurisdictional Teen Police Academy Returns for Summer; Applications Now Being Accepted
Registration is open for the 26th annual Multi-Jurisdictional Teen Police Academy, an engaging summer program that introduces teens to the policing profession through a partnership between the Green Bay Police Department (GBPD) and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
Participants will learn about specialty units such as the Dive Team, K9, and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), and observe live demonstrations. They will also test their skills in police tactics and crime scene processing, and tour the GBPD, BCSO, Brown County Jail, and new for 2026 – visit the Sanger Powers Correctional Center.
This program is for Brown County students who are currently in grades 9-12 for the 2025-26 school year. It is scheduled for June 8-11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with each day starting at GBPD, 307 S. Adams Street. Transportation to all off-site facilities and lunch will be provided.
Class size will be limited to 30 students; therefore, we ask that registrants commit to attending.
To participate, we require a completed application and waiver, which will be accepted through Friday, May 29, 2026.
