OPD Ceasefire Officers Recover Firearms and Arrest Three
As part of ongoing efforts to improve public safety and combat violent crime, the Oakland Police Department (OPD) arrested three individuals and recovered three firearms.
On April 29, 2026, OPD Ceasefire officers observed individuals in possession of firearms and conducted an enforcement stop in the 4500 block of Linden Street. Officers immediately detained one juvenile and located a loaded firearm with an extended magazine on their person.
Two adults fled on foot but were later detained. Officers recovered two additional loaded firearms with extended magazines. Two of the firearms were equipped with devices that converted them into fully automatic weapons.
Both adults had outstanding felony warrants and were prohibited from possessing firearms. All three individuals were arrested for multiple firearms-related offenses.
OPD remains committed to proactive policing and will continue working to prevent violence and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
