1. Person Shot (1843) 300 Block of East Poplar Street, Civic District
The female victim, 30, was in the listed area when she approached a group of subjects who were having an
argument. The suspect approached the victim, shot her, and fled in a vehicle. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. SUSPECT: Black male adult.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (2153) 1600 Block of East Bianchi Road, Valley Oak District
The male victim, 28, was at a residence in the listed area, assisting the suspect. While there, another suspect
arrived, assaulted and stabbed the victim. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Officer arrived and took the suspects into custody and recovered a firearm. ARRESTED: #1 Daniel Espinoza, 34, for assault with a deadly weapon. #2 Marina Tavizon, 31, for weapon charges.
3. Weapon Arrest (0025) Sierra Nevada Street and East Main Street, Park District
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle at the listed location. Upon contact, officers noticed brass knuckles in plain view. While removing the rear passenger, he fled on foot. As he fled, he removed a handgun and discarded it. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: #1 Jamie Caro,30, for resisting arrest and weapon charges. #2 David Ortega, 31, for weapon charges.
4. Resisting Arrest (0100) Anderson Street and Lincoln Street, Seaport District
The female victim advised she was in a physical altercation with the known suspect. Officer responded and located the suspect in the listed area. The suspect attempted to flee on foot and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: Luis Hernandez, 25, for resisting arrest.
