El Cerrito Police Department crime blotter from April 19th to April 25th 
The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito. It does not include all crimes. It also does not include non-criminal events such as missing persons, traffic collisions, non-criminal deaths, non-criminal disputes, nor many other police activities that do not result in arrest.
The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito from April 19th to April 25th.
April 19th
Vandalism – 1724 Elm St:
At 7:03 AM, An officer reports two unidentified juveniles were captured on video kicking the victim’s front door and causing damage at 1:00 AM this morning.
Felony Vehicle Located – 11511 San Pablo Ave:
At 10:58 AM, a felony vehicle hit on Flock cameras. The vehicle was wanted by San Jose PD for leading them on a pursuit. An officer located the vehicle parked in the shopping center unoccupied. The vehicle was impounded pursuant to court order.
April 20th
Grand Theft – 700 Block of Hancock Way:
At 8:02 AM, the victim reports their catalytic converter was stolen from their vehilce sometime overnight.
Vehicle Theft/Evading Officers/Hit and Run/Possession of a Stolen Vehicle –San Pablo Avenue at Macdonald Avenue:
At 2:14 PM, Officers were alerted by Flock cameras to a stolen vehicle in the area. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic enforcement stop. The vehicle fled, collided with a vehicle, continued driving and then collided with a fire hydrant. The driver and two passengers fled. Officer pursued the occupants and caught them both. Both occupants were placed under arrest and transported to the El Cerrito Police Department. Since they were juveniles, they were released from the El Cerrito Police Department to their guardians.
Fraud – 1400 Block of Navellier Street:
At 2:19 PM, the victim reports they were defrauded out of money by a scam.
Driving Under the Influence – San Pablo Ave/Wall Ave:
At 9:37 PM, officers responded to a possible intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle a few blocks away and conducted a traffic enforcement stop. After an investigation the driver was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and transported to the El Cerrito Police Department for booking. They were later released on a citation to a sober friend.
April 21st
Shoplifting/Provide False Information to Police/Warrant Arrest – 6000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 12:19 PM, Officers were dispatched to a report of shoplifting. The subject was contacted and provided a false name to Officers. The officers figured out the subject's real name and a records check of the individual revealed they had an active warrant for their arrest. They were placed under arrest, booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Identity Theft – 800 block of Pomona Avenue:
At 4:04 PM, the victim reports a subject gained access to their personal identifying information and used it in an attempt to obtain financial gain.
Residential Burglary – 10300 block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 4:32 PM, the victim reports their storage locker was broken into and items were taken.
April 22nd
Fraud – 1000 block of Everett Street:
At 3:17 PM, the victim reports an individual gained access to their personal identifying information and used it for financial gain.
Warrant Arrest – 6400 Cutting Blvd:
At 4:31 PM, Officers contacted an individual who had an outstanding arrest warrant. They were arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
April 23rd
Possession of Narcotics and Drug Paraphernalia – San Pablo Ave/Madison Ave:
At 2:52 AM, officers conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a subject for possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The subject was later released on a citation.
Warrant Arrest - 500 Block of Ashbury Avenue:
At 10:00 AM an individual was arrested for an outstanding warrant and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Warrant Arrest – 11000 block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 10:00 AM, an individual was arrested for an outstanding warrant and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Auto Burglary – Schmidt Lane/Ohlone Greenway:
At 10:12 AM, the victim reports their vehicle was broken into and items were taken.
Shoplifting/Conspiracy – 10650 San Pablo Avenue:
At 12:10 PM, the victim reports two individuals conspired to steal an item from the establishment.
Warrant Arrest/Possession of Narcotics and Drug Paraphernalia/Misappropriation of Lost Property/Probation Violation – Kearney Street/Wall Avenue:.
At 8:00 PM, officers conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested the subject on a felony warrant. The subject was also in possession of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and debit card not in their name. The subject was also on probation. The subject was later transported to the Martinez Detention Facility on all charges.
April 24th
Criminal Threats/Annoying Phone Calls - 10800 Block of San Pablo Ave:
At 6:54 PM, an officer took a report of the suspect making threats to harm the victim and their family via telephone.
Trespass/Battery on a Police Officer/Resisting Arrest/Possession of Drug Paraphrenia - 1800 Elm Street (Summit K2):
At 7:41 PM, officers responded to the school for an unwanted subject. Officers contacted the subject and asked him to leave per the request of an employee or be placed under citizen’s arrest. The subject refused to leave and disobeyed officers’ orders to leave the school campus. As officers attempted to take the subject into custody, he slapped the arm of one of the officers and continued to physically resist. Officers eventually took the subject into custody. During a search incident to arrest, the subject was found to be in possession of a glass pipe used to injest narcotics. After booking, the subject was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.
Vandalism - 5200 block of Victor Ave:
At 7:59 PM, an officer reports an unknown suspect painted over the address numbers on the victim’s curb.
Vandalism - 11319 San Pablo Ave (Chevron):
At 9:16 PM, an officer reports an unknown driver damaged one of the gas nozzle.
April 25th
Driving Under the Influence - San Pablo Ave/Stockton Ave:
At 1:13 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence. After booking, the driver was issued a citation and released to a sober friend.

At 3:31 AM, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence. After booking, the driver was issued a citation and released to a sober friend.
