Los Angeles County Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male Hispanic.
The incident was reported Sunday, May 3, 2026, at approximately 1:57am on the 1600 block of Firestone Boulevard, in Los Angeles.
Century Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to an assault with a weapon gunshot victim call for service. Upon arrival, they discovered that two victims had been shot while standing in the parking lot of a local strip mall.
A third victim, who was working as a security guard down the street from the location, was struck by a stray round and was not the intended target.
Victim 1, a male Hispanic 35 years old, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Victim 2, male Hispanic 25 years old, was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. Victim 3, male Black 27 years old, was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition.
There is no vehicle or suspect description at this time.
