The Town of Delhi will host two free information sessions to educate officials and community members about important New York State laws. Kristen Bergin will present the sessions from the NYS Committee on Open Government. Community members and municipal officials are encouraged to attend and share this opportunity with others interested in New York State transparency laws.
Monday, May 11 - 5pm - 6:30pm at 5 Elm Street - Open Meetings Law (OML) - This program will provide an overview and update regarding public body obligations under the Open Meetings Law. Like the FOIL session, it will be interactive with opportunities for Q & A.

The second class will be Monday, June 8 - 5pm - 6:30pm at 5 Elm Street - Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) - This program will provide an overview and update regarding agency obligations under the Freedom of Information Law and access to agency records. This program will be interactive with significant opportunity for questions and answers.
