1. Robbery (1745) 200 Block of Florence Street, Park District
The female victim, 31, was inside an area residence when she got into an argument with the known suspect. The suspect battered the victim, took her property, and fled. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.
2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1757) 400 Block of South Stanislaus Street, Seaport District
The female victim, 65, was inside an area residence when the known suspect forced entry, battered the victim, and barricaded himself inside. Officers negotiated the suspect’s exit, but once outside, he resisted officers’ attempts to arrest him, and force was used to take him into custody. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at an area hospital. ARRESTED: Andre Ivy, 21, for assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse.
3. Traffic Collision (2144) 300 Block of South San Joaquin Street, Seaport District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision. The male pedestrian, 52, was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Traffic officers responded and assumed the investigation.
4. Resisting Arrest (0013) 100 Block of North American Street, Civic District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a violation of a restraining order. The suspect attempted to flee from officers, and force was used to arrest him. The suspect was uninjured. ARRESTED: Fernando Mendoza, 42, for violation of a restraining order and resisting arrest.
5. Weapon Arrest (0030) 600 Block of North Sierra Nevada Street, Park District
Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the listed area. Officers searched the vehicle and located a loaded firearm. ARRESTED: Gabriel Smith, 49, for weapon charges.
