INCIDENT: PC 212.5(A) - First Degree Robbery
LOCATION: 1900 block of Erin Drive, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Andre Chavez, 22-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at approximately 7:47 a.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to the 1900 block of Erin Drive in reference to a robbery that had just occurred.
During the preliminary investigation, it was determined that the suspect forcibly entered the victim's residence and took the victim's cell phone. Deputies immediately conducted an area search and a short time later, located a subject matching the suspect's description nearby.
The suspect was identified as Andre Chavez, who is known to the victim. Chavez was subsequently arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. This investigation is ongoing.
